I'm not sure I fully understand how the Future Destination feature work?

Does it matter what future destination I have set? Advantages/Disadvantages for not setting it? What is the 100 day thingy all about? Why does it stop at 100?

Thanks.

Think % [;)]

You don't get better then 100% ready.

The more prepared a unit is, the better it will perform it's task.

Once reaching 100%, it will also begin training (gaining experience).

After 100 days you start to add experience. I don't think it matters at all if you are actually AT the place where you have Future Destination set.

You attack and defend better and mostly you take fewer operational losses in landing if you invade a place you have set as a future destination a long time before (that doesn't need the full 100 as I understand it but the more the better)

I use the Future destination for yet a third purpose: reminder. I have CENTPAC units in SF and I set these to Tarawa and those to Canton to remind me where they are going eventually when the shipping is free.

Ok. That all makes since. 100% ready.

Does anyone know for sure if it matters where the future destination is?

Lets say I have the 1 Marine Div. in Noumea but the future destination is set for Rabaul, but i infact use it and attack Guad? Does it still go up in EXP once the 100% is made, or does it need to correspond to the place where I'm attacking or stationed to get the benefit?

The people will NOT get a bonus landing at Guad. You will take more losses going over the beach (broken ankles and things). I gather these are Squads going inactive, not dead and they will recover after a few turns given supplies.

You will get the training bonus (slowly over many turns).

How dangerous is Guad going to be? will the operation come apart if you take 10% losses in the surf?
