If a infantry unit is in a marsh, and an armor unit next to it attacks it from a clear hex for an example, does the unit in a clear hex attacking the marsh hex suffer if it is armor?

Armour always gets its bonus, unless it is isolated. However, it's still tricky using armour in marsh. While you can use a road to move armour into an otherwise prohibited marsh hex, roads don't facilitate a retreat move. So its possible to move tanks in, but not be able to get them out if things go wrong.

Also, tracked units tend to have very low values for Basic OPs, so an unsupplied tracked unit in a marsh hex may not be able to move out, even if it isn't attacked!

Sorry my comm skills are so bad... lets try again.. ok?

Armor is in an open, bocage or clear hex...
It attacks anouther unit in marsh..
Does the unit attacking into the marsh hex.. From a non marsh hex sufferif it armor?
or are you saying "no, armor alway gets a bonus"?[&:]

I do understand tracked vehicke units suffer if they are in a marsh hex, that is nothe ?.. thanks again for what will be a classic for this genre!!!

Hmmm, another way to look at this might be "what's the anti-shock value of a marsh hex?" Seems like it would be easy enough to make that high enough where armor would get no extra dr bonus when attacking into marsh hexes.
