Playing Coral Sea (I just purchased the game) as the US, me the player versus the Japanese AI, the computer TWICE has arbitrarily changed my plot of the US carrier force from South and East of GiliGili to a few hexes North of Buna! A real death-wish here!

I even reinstalled and redownloaded and installed the patches up to 2.3... This is a big disappointment. After the first play, I was recommending the game to all my wargaming friends, but now I've let them know (after seeing the think go nuts on me and then taking just a glance at all the problems in the forums) that it probably is not worth the money.

Can anyone shed light here? The precursor of this was the first wargame I ever played, on my old Franklin Ace...I really wanted this to work. [:(]

In your CV TF screen select Patrol/do not react to enemy instead of react to enemy otherwise your CV TF will charge on detected enemy CV TF;that's why your TF's have probably changed their course. In order to avoid such disagreement you can also affect a cautious commander. A very agressive or agressive commander will automatically charge without taking care of the global situation, which could put you in a very dangerous position and certainly increase your air and naval losses during the engagement.
Hope this help and enjoy the game.

Sorry you've had a bad experience. Our efforts have been on WitP and sorry to say I’ve not been checking this forum. Can you post a screen shot of the TF orders screen so we can check your settings? Do you have a save just before the carrier changes course?
