Ah, okay, I've had some more strange retreats, Japs out of Akyab supposedly retreated towards Rangoon, however they moved one hex to the East...but I did get one interesting piece of news about the wicked confusing retreats. I'll turn you over to the South East Asia theater for the following After Action Report: British Sgt Major: "Ah, excuse me sir, but we've captured some Japanese equipment and supplies. 150 Cases of Sake, 30 Tons of Rice, 6 Sumuri Swords, and a compass plus a map off of the dead Japanese Commander, sir. British Commander: Very Well Sgt Major, the Sake distribute amoung the lower ranks for a job well done. Distribute the Rice amoung the civilian poplulation, they looked a wee bit ragged this morning. Distribute the swords amoung the Command Staff so that they may embelish their actions amoung the Press. And send that compass up to G2, maybe they can figure out the Japanese protocol for their retreats... British Sgt. Maj: Yes sir..consider it done sir... AT G2 sometime later that week: Intel Sgt.: Excuse me Col.. but we think we've finally figured out why the Japanese seem to retreat away from their parent commands sir.. G2 Col.: And that would be??? Intel Sgt.: Ah, yes sir, the maps are drawn about 90 degrees out of true and magnetic north sir, compared to ours. But once we looked deeper we found out how they fool the smarter ones. G2 Col: They've smart commanders???? Intel Sgt: Not really sir, but when we took the compass apart we found a small magnent attached to the inside that cause the compass to always swing 90's away from Magnetic North, and factor in the Sake, Map, and bad reading glasses they use, well they just simply go south sir...
