The "Type 98" was, if I recall correctly, a copy of the German MG15 produced under license. In any event, the above is neither the MG15 nor the Type 98 :)

I'll give you guys more time to guess.

Yes indeed, the Type 97 20mm AT rifle, which happened to be fully automatic, though it failed in its intended role due to the soldiers being unable to handle the powerful weapon. It was later mounted on a wheeled carriage to form a sort of hybrid AT gun.
