malcolm_mccallum -> Is there any hope.... (10/29/2004 6:11:18 PM)

I really enjoyed Campaigns on the Danube. It gave me fresh insights into Napoleon's Ulm campaign at the least (It wasn't a wheel, it was seizing the central position again!) As much as I loved it though, there is a sense of emptiness in the limited replay value. Is there any hope that instead of making another campaign, you can instead invest energies and resources into making a toolkit? Let the player communities make the maps, work out the OOBs, arrival times, supply points, troop qualities etc and Matrix concentrates on making a robust, flexible, beautiful game/toolkit. Use the energy, attention to detail, and thoroughness of the grognards to fuel continued enthusiam for the product. P.S. if you are still planning patches for this, I'd very much like an option to print off the OOBs for battles to be resolved in miniature (including names of commanders and formations present)
