satisfaction -> Size of core force in ww2 campaign (10/31/2004 5:17:01 PM)

Is there any way to adjust the size of the core force for the ww2 campaign? I want a smaller force....I just don't seem to get the attachment to my units when I have nearly so many and the battles take much too long (I start to get sloppy). I love the size in the mega campaigns...can I change it? Thanks for any help.

I don't know about the Mega Campaigns, but in a long WW2 campaign, simple set your starting points in preferences. Leave the AI's on xxx, and it will auto-adjust for your starting points.

Goblin's idea is great and it will work.

Also, you can try a balanced core force - like - 1 Infantry Company, one Platoon or two of Tanks, a Tank Destroyer Section plus about 200 to 350 more points of units of your choice. One key is to limited the size of your core force. This will improve game play as well as make for 10 to 15 turn battles.

For example, I made a German Long Campaign 1942 - 1945 and used one Tiger Company and One Infantry Company, plus 2 sections of mobile SP-AA Units. The AI Limited the AUX force points as well as matched German points used for Allied purchase.

It was a great Long Campaign, till July 1944 verse the UK! Fireflys, Shermans and oh my!

Verses the USSR, game was a blast to play.

I suggest to try your own Long Campaign but keep you core force balnced but small but this is only my opinion.
