Top Cat -> 18 hours of downloading for 2 broken downloads! (11/3/2004 2:45:21 AM)

I've spent 18 hours downloading the patch via cable modem. So far I've managed a 72% and a 76%. A total of ~110 Meg of crap.

The abilty to resume downloads has been around for decades. This is a joke!

I download 1 GB files on a regular basis with no problem. But I cannot get this patch.

Why all the hoops. I mean the pirate copy of the game has been around since early August. Maybe the pirates will have more bandwidth available for the patch.

Hi,

Did you try using Getright or any download managers? They should pick it up where it stopped. You can try www.download.com. Hope you could the patch soon and join the fun[8D]

Yep using Flash Get. Usually have no problems, used it to downlaod the WITP game in about 45 mins. But it's averaged about 5K/sec with the patch and has given up the ghost twice and restarted from scratch. Reckon this happens because the session/cookie expires? ie not in my control from this end.

Cheers

I tried 2 separate D\L Managers neither would work. Finally got it on the 4th attempt. You could consider it, just a little bad luck, however coupling it with problems trying D\L prevoius patches. i guess while there's little competion the service is going to ordinary
