Playing 1.3 patch over 1.21 and we are in May 1942. The Formidable and 3 "replacement" Essex's all are empty of all planes when examined in the arrival queue. Apoligies if reported earlier. Hope there is an easy fix.

Your replacement Essex's planes probably tranferred when the originals were damaged. Look for them on the map. They should be tranfered back to the replacements when they arrive.

OK, that is quite possible. However, the Formidable certainly needs planes too.

What Scenario are you playing? In my Scen 15 Formidable has a squadron of Fulmar and one of Swordfish.

Hmm if the replacement Essexes need the original airgroups what happens if the airgroups were destroyed just after the carrier was sunk. Transfered to island which was then captured by the Japanese for example.

Do the destroyed airgroups come back with the carriers ?

I am playing Scenario 15. We patched in mid-May. I had not checked it before the patch, so I cannot tell whether it changed with the patch or was bugged originally.

Anyone else check on this?

IIRC if they go down with the ship they return with the ship. I've never had the island captured scenario. So I don't know.

I've not had the problem with either 1.21 or 1.3
