Hirohito -> Partner needed for Russia first Strategy (11/11/2004 3:15:18 PM)

Some of the loud mouths in here have made personal attacks against me because I want to discuss strategies in a forum for discussing strategies, their insult being "you don't actually play the game so your strategies are BS". I want to embarrass these loud mouths and shut them up and teach them not to insult people they know nothing about. Unfortunately, I am out of town on a work assignment and do not have access to my computer which has WITP loaded on it.

So, I am looking for someone to play one of the loud mouths in a PBEM game with me giving you general directions on what to do, but you work out the details. Please be a farily good tactician as tactics are fairly important in the Russia first strategy. After your units are into place you wont' need my input except when the campain enters a new phase.

Please be familiar with managing resources, heavy industry, aircraft production, oil production, and the autoconvoy system as this is important.

I can assure you that we will totally embarrass the loud mouths.

Hirohito

Hirohito,

I thought that a major part of your overall strategy was that the allied player was going to be surprised when Japan attacks Russia. If the allied player knows right away that the Philipines aren't going to be attacked, he'll start, in ernest, the fortification of the DEI, Malasia, far east and PI. He'll also immediately go on the offensive in China.

In all honesty, I don't know if your plan will work (as well) if the allied player is expecting the attack in Russia. Do you still think a dedicated AAR on your theory will work if the allied player is planning on the attack to come in the Far East?

When you find someone to be your "surrogate", just let me know. I will take the allies.

Oh and the loud mouths who are shooting your plan apart, are almost all dedicated Japanese players. I only play the Japanese. The first time I even looked at the Allied side was the other day when I started the H2H game.

But I will gladly volunteer and can crank out the turns as fast as you get them to me.

Better still, I am more than HAPPY to wait till you return home and get reunited with your computer. Then you can play me and embarass me as much as you like.

I would offer, but I don't think I have a good enough handle on moving stuff around and organising the map to really do the strategy justice.

Specially as Japan [X(][X(]
Respect to any player who plucks IJA divisions and drops them at will precisely where they are needed.

It is not that hard EU. The first couple of times as the Japanese is daunting, but after a few test runs against the AI, you will have it down pat. It becomes almost 2nd nature.

If I can get three people to play the japanese player strategies, and three people to play the allied player, we can start three games and the allied players won't know which strategy they are facing. Then there will be surprise. I have some strategies that have not been posted here. I'll have to see how many players offered to help me.

I'll help you with that part. This is just for fun. Learning is half the fun.
