I'm playing Scenerio #15 as Allies vs Japan and I'm in Feb 43. Was looking forward to upgrading my VMF squadrons from Wildcats to Corsairs and noticed they will upgrade to Hellcat's instead. Just wondering why this is the case since from what I've read almost all marine corp fighter squadrons flew Corsairs?

Hi

The upgrade path you are seeing is the default path for the wildcat , matrix/2by3 have not set the marine wildcat squadrons to upgrade to corsairs instead of wildcats. You could do it your self in the editor but it would mean starting again for it to take effect.

Thanks for the info. Actually, its now late February 1943 in my game and I found out kind of by accident that if I leave the upgrade on for my VMF Wildcat squadrons (showing Hellcats =0 since they don't start coming in till July, 1943) they start upgrading to Corsairs anyways. I've had two VMF squadrons do that.
