dr. smith -> Fleshpots of Dehli - LCU Follow (11/17/2004 4:12:58 PM)

In my 1.3 game, I have 3 units following the III Ind Corps HQ marching across India from Dehli to Mandalay. I must have starting them about the 8th Dec, cause on the 9th the HQ almost has enough Distance Traveled to go to the next hex. Seems the 3 units tell the HQ "We'll be behind you every step of the way!!!" and stay WAY behind and never leave the comforts of the alleys of Dehli.

On the 1st of January, I checked again, the HQ is just SE of Imphal, while the 9th India Air Base Force, the 26th India Div, 6th UK Med Art Rgt are STILL in Delhi with 249 as value for Distance traveled! Looking back the value for these 3 units varied: 297 (12-30), 246 (12-29), 274 (12-27), 243 (26th), 212 (25th), 226 (24th), 240 (23rd), 209 (22nd), 178 (21st), 147 (20th), 161 (19th), 130 (18th), 144 (17th), 113 (16th), 51 (14th).

Ran the 14th Dec save, value goes to 82, while the HQ is 9 hexes away.

On the 3 Jan turn, when I noticed it, i turned off the "Follow" for the 26th Ind. Div and it shot 5 hexes.

Another Oddity, under the "Following:" it has "IND III HQ30" for all my saves.

Have almost daily saves, tonight will see if I can recreate at the start and then also see if I can recreate near the point of the HQ moving out of Delhi. -

As an aside, once I found out the problem, I changed the 26th Div to March and it shot out like a cannon and moved 5 hexes. Still no where near the III Ind. Corps HQ.

There has to be a bug with the follow unit order. Had several times units following an other, but the leading unit was beaten up by the enemy as it arrived allone. And all units had nearly the same fatigue.
