I don't think so. The landswher was the name of the Prussian army (or part of it?) back in the times of Napolean. I've never heard or read that name being used about German armed forces in modern times since WWI.

The militia, originated in napoleonic times, was the Landwehr. While Landser is a common term for 'infantry soldier' (it has nothing to to with the Landwehr or Landsturm). So your term is probably a mis of the two [img]http://www.matrixgames.com/ubb/smile.gif[/img] Regards, Amedeo
