Just downloaded the mega-campaign Screaming Eagles. Two minutes into playing the first event the screen flickers and changes to a purple hint for some of the scenery. The game continues but with some really strange colors like the main road is now blue. I have updated my nividia drivers and I am using Windows XP. I have tried to start game from all the different start-ups. I am at a loss. Any help would be appreciated because this is a great game bu I am getting tired of saving and starting over.

Hi Butch.

I've had this happen a few times, but with irregularity. Nothing as consistent as what you have going on. One question I do have--does the graphics change happen two minutes into ANY scenario or just the Screaming Eagles MC?

I have two suggestions: 1) Create a shortcut to SPWAW Quick Start out on your desktop. Right click on the shortcut icon and select the compatibility tab. Select Windows 95 compatibility and click ok. See if that fixes it. 2) I mention this option second because it might cause some other potential problems with your system. Make sure you take good notes while doing this option. Try ALT-TABbing out and then pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL and look at the processes you have running in the background. It sounds like something may be interefering with SPWAW in the background. Try shutting down or disabling a few of the processes. Exit out of SPWAW and run it again. Keep working through the process/task list by process of elimination until you find the culprit.

Hope one of these works for you.

IBTyrone,
In response to your info the problem only shows up with the Screaming Eagles campaign. I tried both of your suggestions but did discover that after hitting the CTRL-ALT-DEL to look at processes running when I return to the game the wild colors on the screen are gone. Ihave no clue but the use of the CTRL-ALT-DEL as a part of the game prcess might be a quick fix. Thanks for your help.

I"ve never had this experience either so its hard to offer a solution. Sounds like you found one anyway. I'm glad.
