Hi folks - I've been searching this forum, but haven't spotted anything to do with the problem of not seeing artillery in the Replays.

It seems that you only get to see the arty that comes in at the end of your opponent's turn, but nothing that came in at the beginning ... or something like that.

Is this a game engine problem 'cos it seems to have been around for a while and now that I'm up to 8.3, it still seems to happen. Most frustrating is creating a huge airstrike ... and then you don't see ANY of it [:@]

Please let me know if there's an obscure setting or workaround.

Thanks [8D]

If in your preferences, you have FAST ARTILLERY ON, you will not see any artillery in a replay. This was done intentionally to keep the size of the replay file down.

Enemy artillery that strikes before your turn is shown at the end of your opponents previous turn, as shown in the replay. Remainings strikes occur after you hit the turn over button and is shown before the turn saves.

Cheers for that - yes, I never have Fast Artillery On if I can help it ( I like to see every last fragment [8D] ), but it seems that my artillery/airstrike that lands at the beginning of the opponent's turn DOESN'T show up in the replay.

D@mn, now I'm confused about exactly when you don't see stuff, but I know I've sent in airstrikes with delays of 0.3 or greater and my opponent tells me in the next email "Your planes pasted the hell out of me", but I see nothing in the replay ( and I have threatened him with dire consequences if he doesn't have Fast Arty off [;)] )

Hmmm, perhaps I'm confused - I shall make careful note of my next turn's arty and air delays and return with hard facts.

If you got free time on your hands, or dying for some hard facts,
set up a mock PBEM/hotseat game with yourself.

My curiousity is peaked piqued now. [&:]
