Wilhammer -> Japanese Kates Defect; fight for Royal Navy (1/10/2005 1:37:44 AM)

A force of 6 Kates sit in Columbo, controlled by the Allied AI.

They have had more.

It is still in the Japnese Chain of command; they are in a Daita; they have a Japanese Commander; but the Japanese player has no control of it.

At Colombo, it shares the airbase with over a hundred Allied aircraft.

Every once in awhile, the stuff I have sailing by report that Kates are dropping torpedoes from 200ft.

One day, some PCs chose the wrong route to the Cape, and got too close to Colombo; 4 hexes.

They got hit hard; 3 sunk by Japanese Aerial Torpedoes dropped by Kates.

----------------------------------------------------------

This has been going on for a year at Colombo. I just deal with it.

You can of course see them by taking the AIs place, and you can witness them if you sail to close.

In the Naval Losses screen, you can see sinkings of a transport and a few PCs by Japanese 18" aerial torepdoes.

Yes old bean you see its like this last night members of the Commando Bde (all trained pilots speaking perfect Japanese)

Snuck aboard Nagumos flagship and flew them off decided it would be easier to steal them than get modern aircraft from the Air Ministry for the Fleet Air Arm.....

(Actually that sounds like a nasty bug to me[:D])

Reminds me of some silly episode of the TV "Black Sheep Squadron" where the USMC knuckleheads were supposed to fly stolen zeke's to attack something...
