ORIGINAL: Beezle Under games started under 1.40 it is still possible to lose a unit while transporting it. To avoid losing the unit you need to keep track of how much of the unit has been transported. Right at the end, just before you transport the last bit (when the origin-unit is still the parent but when it will disappear that turn) you need to stop transporting for one turn. During that one turn of rest the game will rename the unit at the orgin /1 or some other subunit and start calling the destination unit the parent. Basically just don't transport the last bit of the parent unit (by air particularly) and you will be alright. Unfortunately I've just discovered that the above work around isn't 100% cast iron . I was airlifting the Burma Corps HQ from Imphal to Mandalay , waited for a turn until the largest part at Mandalay became the main unit and the part at Imphal became Burma Corps/2 , then resumed the airlift . Bang , sure enough , next turn the entire HQ had vanished . Looks like I will either have to give up on air transporting troops or put up with fragments of units scattered all over the bloody map , both of which is a major PitA . I have a repeatable save if anyone is interested .
