Anyone seen it yet?

I'm gonna see it tonight.

Look here for the trailer

I have. I would recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in WW2 and the darker side of what people can and will do. The view that Hitler was depicted as too human is not shared by me. The times where he acts as you would expect from a 'normal' person make the times where he doesn't even more chilling.

Ive seen the trailer before.

It looks very good indeed the only problem is I dont know German.

I believe its being put forward for an oscar. If so it might get a DVD subtitle release.

Hopefully.

Itīs a great movie. Bruno Ganz as Hitler was a genious pic. The rest of the line up is probably the best Germany has to offer currently. Hirschbeigel and Eichinger really picked great actors here.

I can only recommend it to everybody.

edit: german DVD will be out around 03/15/05

Does this have any relation to "Hitler's Hit Parade" that opened in NYC last weekend? I'm guessing none. Has anyone seen this movie yet?

"This film collages together popular songs, commercials, news reports, and other footage from 1930s Germany to show how Nazi ideology was propagandized and eventually accepted by a majority of people during Hitler's era"

Der Untergang shows the final days inside Hitler's bunker in Berlin as well as some footage of fighting in the Berlin streets. It is seen through the eyes of a secretary who only years later realized what she had been a part of. It's based on her book (or a book about her) I think.

Looks like its coming to the states.

Should be subtitled.
