TSCofield -> Weirdest bug I have ever seen (2/6/2005 7:37:12 AM)

Was playing WitP the other day and decided to go back to one of Gary Grisby's old titles, 12 Oclock High: Bombing the Reich.

I played BTR for a while and decided to go back to play WitP.

Fired up WitP and started a game. All my icons in the game (little ships airplanes, ground unit icons, etc) were replaced with icons from BTR. I shut the game off, rebooted the computer and restarted.

Icons had returned to normal.

I am assuming there is some sharing in some of the two codes but this caught me off guard. Anyone else try this?

Memory leak perhaps?

similarly, back in 1994 I played Pacific War and all you had to do to beat the AI was build up Port Moresby early and let the Jap carriers impale themselves on your land based air. Last night I found out that 10 years later...that same tactic is working with WiTP. Someone had a memory leak when writing the AI [:D]
