Quoted from the news item:

Matrix Games and Koios Works (www.koiosworks.com) are very pleased to announce that Tin Soldiers: Alexander the Great has a brand new patch that makes several improvements to the overall experience of the game.

Notice how it seems like they said there were new features but they actually didn't. [:'(]

Slapbone,

I'm missing your point - if we promised any new features, I didn't see it.

Regards,

The low number of fixes is a testament to the quality of the initial release. [8D] Great Job![;)] I was able to solve my menu freeze problem with a video driver update. I'm looking forward to Tin Soldiers Julius Caesar.

Hence the smiley. Here's another [:)]

I was being factitious. I didn't notice any bugs so the patch didn't improve my overall experience one iota.

You guys need a vacation.

Great job btw. I will be buying Julius Ceasar as well

The wargamer article mentioned the disallusionment with NOT being able to progress to a "next" level scenario...despite some 16-17 tries. Has this been fixed in some way? ie. can one progress to the next level irrespective of having completed to a fantastic quality level the 1st level. An overall score for all scenarios/levels might be more preferable. I despise having to use cheat codes to get to a next level in a game...ala RTS games.

Buying a game for potentially one scenario ...can be painful as the article highlighted.

MikeB,

To be clear, there are two types of victory for each level: minor victory and major victory. In the review, the reviewer found it difficult to score a "major victory", especially on the first level. (Frankly, due to the size and scope of that battle, a major victory is fairly difficult to achieve.) However, you can progress to the next battle with any victory.

I suggest that you download the demo and try out the first level. It is a good challenge, and should demonstrate the level you need to achieve for victory.
