SKORPIO -> ODD ENCOUNTER (2/27/2005 1:42:23 AM)

It's January 1942. a lone American AV is heading S in the Celebes Sea just south of Tawi Tawi, trying to escape the Japanese onslaught of the Philippines. Suddenly, in the darkness of night, it bumps a lone Japanese AK heading E. They manouvere around for a while, sizing each other up, then each continues on it's respective way. NOT A SINGLE SHOT FIRED IN ANGER. If combat had taken place l could of called it "ILL MET BY MOONLIGHT." As nothing happend l will have to name it "SHIPS THAT PASS IN THE NIGHT." It was just so peculiar an event amidst all the death and destruction. Ah well, back to the carnage.

Hi, At least 1 TF has to be on an offensive mission to engage.

That's why I love AVDs in comparison with AVs - I set them to "surface combat TF" and they still supply air support to float planes.

"Look, is there someone else up there we could talk to?"

"No! Now, go away or I will taunt you a second time!"
