WWII -> Help: Disband CV to Tokyo? (3/3/2005 10:15:29 PM)

I disband my CV to Tokyo for repairing and rebuild the TF again some day later. But suprises me that all the navy air groups in that CV change from attached to independent to attahed to home defense.

Since there is no way to replenish the lost ariplane if the CV moves to South east area far away from Japan, is there any way I can change them back to attach to independent?

Does not sound right.. should stay independant.

Doesn't matter, CV's don't care what the air unit is attached to. Replacements come from the base hq that happen to control where you dock, not what the air unit belongs to.

ok, so the base controls the replacements, but isn't the parent group still supposed to be independant.. ie why would it change on its own?

When you dock the CV, the air groups change to the base HQ (maybe in preparation for off-loading so you don't need to spend PPs).
IIRC; When you form a CV TF and sent it on its way, the air groups change back to Independent.

Is this a thing in the wish list, it never happens to me. My CVs stay in Rebul for months, but all the navy air groups are still attached to home defense and don't get any replacement. Even Truk has 30k supplies.
