Videos not running smooth / working: ----------------------------------------- Please make sure you have the latest "MS Mediaplayer" installed. CTDs / Graphic issues / Sound issues: ----------------------------------------- Please make sure you run the latest drivers for your graphic card and sound card. Depending on your motherboard you also want to check for the latest chipset drivers from the manufacturer. If you run a system that is close to the minimal system requirements for GGWAW you may want to try running the game in the "low graphics mode" (under "Preferences" in the main menu). You may also want to try running in "windowed mode" (under "Preferences" in the main menu). Or a combination of "low graphics" and "windowed mode". Uninstall "Morgan Stream Switcher" if you have it installed. This interferes with system audio functions and can cause GGWAW to crash. Problems with PDF manual: -------------------------------------- Make sure you have he latest version of Adobe Reader (currently v7) installed if you alt-tab between the game and the rules and are facing problems. It is advised to have the game running in windowed mode if you are referencing the rules often during play. You can download Adobe Reader for free from www.adobe.com Things that speed up GGWAW on slower systems: ------------------------------------------------------ Turn off any forced anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering that you have your video drivers doing. With some drivers, the forced setting can interfere with the game. If your driver supports "application controlled" for these, set it there, otherwise set it off. The best thing would be to create a profile for GGWaW where these are off, you can set this easily in the controll panel of your graphic card driver. Turn off Rough and Winter region graphics if you have them enabled. Use only one set of Western Allies icons, whichever you prefer.
