I was wondering why trucks are slower than halftracks on roads. Shouldn't light trucks be faster? Right now, a halftrack is faster than a JEEP! A U.S. Jeep can go 18 hexes in the best conditions (36 MPs at 2 per hex on a road), while a M3 U.S. halftrack can go 25 hexes (25 MPs at 1 per hex on a road). Has anyone else found this strange?

This is a compronmise reflecting the inability of convoys to be represented right. In real life truck convoys moved pretty slow because you had to stay together. This penalizes individual trucks some, but is a bonus when you have a whole motorized btn trying to get down a road. Trucks cross country ability is also factored in this, since the current speeds are quite optimistic for most off road conditions...even with the terrain cost. Isn't there another way? Maybe using way points combined with "all formation" moves using a slower movement rate? That way you can simulate convoys, while we can still rush AT guns into position faster using roads.
