Re: Counterbattery Fire I believe that in order to do counterbattery fire that you must have offboard artillery that is larger in caliber than the enemy battery. So, if the enemy is firing offboard arty that is 105mm, you must have offboard arty that is bigger, like 150mm for example. If the other battery is firing 105mm, you won't be able to counterbattery fire with 75mm guns. It has something to do with the range capability. In general, larger guns can fire their shells a greater distance than smaller guns. Any artillery experts out there who may want to elborate on this or set me straight if I am mistaken?
