Kwik E Mart -> Patchitis... (4/19/2005 7:43:13 PM)

...damn, you would think that after waiting for 4 previous patches like a prom date waiting to get to the car after the dance that i would do better at this round of "filling in time"...WaW is good, but it's no subsitute for a 5 hour grinder session of WiTP...even HalfLife2 didn't fill the void...guess i'm gonna have to go out and grab that Silent Hunter everyone was gushing about recently...

if i sound impatient, it's true...but i'm confindent the extra time will provide a superior quality patch...

Rob Brennan UK -> RE: Patchitis... (4/19/2005 8:09:31 PM)

Silent hunter is fantasic .. I also playing world of warcraft .. lol yeah i know its a million miles away from Witp .. but sometime its nice to have a 'fun' game :) [:D][:D]

ltfightr -> RE: Patchitis... (4/19/2005 8:10:27 PM)

The Dude -> RE: Patchitis... (4/19/2005 9:53:18 PM)

CobraAus -> RE: Patchitis... (4/19/2005 9:54:27 PM)

for same reasons mentioned above started new game called Act of War Direct Action
for lovers of C&C this is a must have, first indications are that its going to a very good game

You could have said "HL2 is a 'Far cry' from FARCRY. Yeaa Baaaby (In his beat Austin Powers accent)

wild_Willie2 -> RE: Patchitis... (4/19/2005 10:31:45 PM)

HL2 was a REAL disappointment, graphics where great, but a story line was none existing and the game play was just some scripted shooting v. the AI. (although racing the swamp boat was kind of cool)

I finished HL2 just once and never looked at it again.
But I am playing FAR CRY now for the 5th time or so, and the game keeps on amazing me…………..

FAR CRY is just SO MUCH BETTER then HL2………….

freeboy -> RE: Patchitis... (4/19/2005 11:42:02 PM)

Played the demo and it looked cool but it seemed even more hi-tech-fantasy than Brown's books.

I like his books but they are getting a little far out and I am getting tired of McLanahan.

Nikademus -> RE: Patchitis... (4/20/2005 12:05:33 AM)

your just saying that becuase somehow an entire Japanese battle carrier ended up shipwrecked on that island [:'(]

I haven't read one of his books since the one where they were doing drug interdiction with the Ospreys.

wild_Willie2 -> RE: Patchitis... (4/20/2005 12:11:50 AM)

It was an ESCORT carrier to be precise, and you can literally find tons of airplane and tank wrecks al over those island...[:D]

Yeah. Ever since the beginning of the very first level, inside Japanese bunker, with that Japanese Officer's corpse I've thought "this has got to be a sweeet game". It gave me more WW2 "feel" even than that crap peashooter MoH:Pacific Assault.

wild_Willie2 -> RE: Patchitis... (4/20/2005 9:48:43 PM)

Some of those outdoor levels are HUGE, and I mean REALLY HUGE and you can go literally everywhere.

One of my favorite levels is "insurection", because everybody is shooting at everybody.
Also in a later level, you have to assault 3 islands, which is just blood tears and folly

Yeah, those were not too good. For one thing he was touting the tilt-rotor planes like crazy - they were the greatest things since sliced bread. Meanwhile I am reading in the paper that they are crashing and killing all on board.

His latest one is good though. USA vs Russia - always a good combination.

Well the story was good, but I do not think that an US generall has the autority to singel handedly order an airstrike on a RUSSIAN airbase because they are treatening to attack some afghan valley ?????[:-][:-][:-][:-]

Well, no one said it was factual. You gotta give him some leeway else there is no story.

kaleun -> RE: Patchitis... (4/21/2005 7:22:21 AM)
