I ordered the human-controlled Aussie corps commander in Brisbane, in human-controlled Australia, to march to Townsville. He got there, and then ordered himself back to Brisbane.
I ordered MacArthur to Townsville. He went one hex and turned around.
Meanwhile the overall Aussie HQ has ordered itself to Darwin.
I need an HQ's support at Townsville, but my generals are disobeying direct orders.
What gives?
Another, less serious, problem: I have to turn back computer-controlled, but not auto-convoy, TFs heading into the Marshalls on the way to the Philippines and Port Moresby. No base in those areas is set for auto-convoy.

From many of the players who have experienced this, the answer is to NOT have anything on computer control and do it all yourself since the computer will do stupid things.

Ive been getting this problem for the past 6 months or so.

Here are some relevant threads:

From the replies and tests, ive narrowed it down to the South Control Zone. If its under computer control then you cant move SWPac HQ out of brisbane, eventually the 32nd div in townsville will march to brisbane by itself and certain units in PNG will also go wandering. If you set the South CZ to human control then everything is ok.

For any devs/mods listening in, this is repeatable under for new games in version 1.5 scen 14.
