I haven't seen Brainstorm in years; it had well-known stars and an interesting premise, but the film did seem a bit uneven, even taking into account Wood's untimely demise -- apparently she tried to get into a dingy in the middle of the night, slipped and drowned as her flowing nightgown was no Mae West.
