See, that's the thing. I believe that it was the Australian 7th Infantry Brigade that was in Milne Bay (Gili Gili) before the Japanese arrived, as well as the 55th Australian Infantry Battalion and the US 46th Engineer Battalion. These units were all in place well before the Japanese arrived on the 25th of August, 1942. However, in the May '42 scenarios, we have the Japanese on a fast transport ready to unload there in the first week of May. It looks like we have the allies arriving at or near historical dates, but the Japanese arriving much earlier. This is why I do not like the May scenarios. It's a personal preference, but I wanted to let you guys know why. I just double checked: the 55th Bttn and 46th Engrs arrived in June, the 7th Brigade arrived in July. No Japanese arrived until the landing of 25th August.
