Gallo Rojo -> NEW CAMPAIGN: “Blitzkrieg on France”: DESIGNERS WANTED! (5/16/2005 10:15:59 PM)

Cheers! I’m looking for at least three scenario designers who want to help me to complete a new campaign about the German 1940 invasion on France: “The Cut of the Sickle:” Blitzkrieg on France 1940. This is a Campaign many people would love to play, and that I have dreamed to design since long ago. I have what I think is a nice story-board. It will be a short campaign (it didn’t take to long to Les Boches to defeat France after all! [;)] ): only 9 battles. The battles should be small: medium size maps, 12 to 20 turns. The player’s Core Force is only one reinforced mechanized company (one PzGnd Co + 2 Panzer Platoons)… so you can see that the battles are not going to be so big, which means that designers will not have to work too much. I already designed the first three scenarios (they were designed for a previous version, so I have to review them for OOB inconsistencies)… but there are still six battles remaining; and I don’t have time to do it (I’m designing a Soviet side campaign about Stalingrad). So all I need is at least three designers who want to do two battles each… C'MON!! It’s not so much work!! There are small battles!! You design them, then I put them together! You don’t even have to be an expert designer: in two of the battles the French are defending, so all you have to do is get a nice map, buy the troops according to the plan I’ll give you, and deploy them just as if you were playing a defensive battle! And those battles have to be easily winnable for the German Player, so you don’t have to be so good deploying! I have other four battles that are one meeting, one defense, and two hard advances… expert designers will be an asset for those, but even a fairly good one can do it! If you want to participate, you can either post here; send me a private message; or an email. As soon as the team is ready, I’ll send the story board to each member of the team. And the rest of you guys who would like to play the campaign: press the designers to sign here! Gallo ps: Here’s a short description of the campaign and the battles that have to be designed so you can choose which one you like to do: Blitzkrieg on France 1940: Theme: German invasion to France in 1940. The Player will command a battle group attached to General Kirchner's 1st Pz Div from. In May, 1940, the 1st Pz. joined Guderian's XIX Corps for the advance into France through the Ardennes forest. The Corps achieved a decisive breakthrough at Sedan and by May 16th the Panzer formations were advancing rapidly toward the English Channel coast. 1st Panzer Division came within 15 miles of Dunkirk despite determined British resistance, but they were ordered to stop by Hitler... .. If you are a good general, you end in Paris... If you are a great general you may take Dunkirk, cut the BEF and change the history. Campaign size: aprox. 10 battles long Campaign about the German invasion to France in 1940. F The ideal Core Units are one PzGren Co + Two Tank Plt. Battles that has to be designed: Title: Meeting at Bluson: Difficulty level for the Designer: medium Difficulty level for the Player: medium Description: it’s an armor meeting engagement. Title: Advance at La Horgne Difficulty level for the Designer: easy Difficulty level for the Player: easy Description: advance against static infantry positions. All the designer has to do is buy the French troops and deploy them. Title: De Gaulle’s Counter Attack Difficulty level for the Designer: medium Difficulty level for the Player: medium Description: French armor attack against an Infantry Line of German Auxiliary Troops. The Core Force should restore the line. Title: Road to the Channel Difficulty level for the Designer: easy/medium Difficulty level for the Player: medium/hard Description: advance against static English infantry positions and river crossing. Designer has to buy and deploy the British forces. Title: Dunkirk Difficulty level for the Designer: medium Difficulty level for the Player: hard and very hard. Description: advance/assault against static British infantry positions. All the designer has to do is buy the British troops and deploy them. There has to be two versions of this scenario: one hard, and one harder. The designer has to know how to do a hard defensive battle. Title: Paris Difficulty level for the Designer: easy Difficulty level for the Player: easy Description: advance against static infantry positions. All the designer has to do is buy the French troops and deploy them.
