m10bob -> RE: Idea for new sound mod (5/17/2005 2:26:12 PM)

Several of us have swapped the music files.(My personal favorites are from an old TV series called "Victory at Sea".) Go to download.com,find a nice audio converter,(mine was free),and convert MP3 files to wav format.(Remember to keep the new file small,8 bit preferred),and keep the clip short as well.My clips work fine at around 6 minutes max. Go to your sound folder and locate the music files. There are approx 5 or 6.SAVE THEM in a seperate folder.DO NOT change the opening file!.. Give the new files the same names as the ones you just removed.(If you get a message asking if you want to replace the old file, then you failed to put the old file in a seperate folder.you MUST do this first or you will erase the old one!!!) Cobra was nice enough to provide some of the Victory at Sea clips several months ago,(see Spooky's great website).. Take your time.I am not responsible if you screw it up,just remember to SAVE the stock files!![:D][;)]
