ORIGINAL: Mr.Frag How is pulling crappy pilots with poor skills an exploit? If anything, you are punishing yourself. [;)] If your pilot skills are crappy anyway.... Anyway, I agree that dividing groups punishes the player because the divcision does not work as it should (say you have 72 pilots and 72 planes: when divided the group will likely have something like: /A 24 planes, 30 pilots /B 24 planes, 21 pilots /C 24 planes, 21 pilots. From what I understand, subunits /B and /C are now out of action unless you draw pilots from the pool to make pilots = planes. For IJN air units, of course, this would be devastating, but then the IJN units are not so big that you will be dividing them anyway. The problem for the Allies is only present in the first 18 months or so of war, wherein they are trying to get by without adequate AV assets at some bases (and in the first 6-7 months, at any of their forward bases!). But in that period, Allied replacements are not notably inferior to the existing pilots. So, the bottom line is that this is not a huge problem, as far as I can tell, but if there is a bug fix list it should probably be on it.
