I would really like to see a Tin Soldiers: Frederick the Great. That would be sooo sweeet.

Oh Oh Oh and for us Texicans "The Battle of the Alamo!" ;) I played the heck out of I believe it was Interplay that made it "Rorkes Drift", loved that game for it's time. But, really it had horrible AI and interface, but, I still played it. ;)

You are aware that we are based in Dallas? Born in bred in the great state of Tejas. At least 4 out of 5 of us - we got one Okie too (can't be perfect ya know!)

Gig-Em! [;)]

I knew there had to be some reason I espeically liked your games. Texans just naturally do it BEST! ;) As long as you don't let Paradox publish any of your games, you'll always be friends of mine. ;)

benpark -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (1/7/2006 8:46:29 AM)

So...what's cooking for the future of the series?

mbelew -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (1/7/2006 6:47:28 PM)

I expect Matrix to announce something soon

Unless mbelew and koiosworks' avatars are ment to throw us off, I am guessing it is a WWII game.

Deride -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (1/20/2006 6:39:01 PM)

Hmm....

ravinhood -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (1/25/2006 9:07:55 AM)

A WWII Koios game? Oh man that would be awesome. Modeled tanks and infantry can we have some LIME GREEN ones to bring back the memory of those 60's army men we used to get at the 5 and dime stores? ;)

You betcha! I think there's some dog-chewed and stepped on versions of the same units.

I want to add my vote for Hannibal as the next "Tin Soldiers" game. As someone else said, what drew me to the series was the Ancients setting. I've got nothing against other periods [Fred the Great and the Zulus suggestions also sound intriguing], but I've got numerous WWII games, and Nap and the ACW have been done, but ancient warfare has been largely ignored. As far as battle-level games go, there hasn't been anything since the "Great Battles" series [which I loved and would greatly appreciate if Matrix negotiated for the rights to release new versions of them. The only reason I don't still play them is because they crash to the desktop in the first turn every time I try to run them on my Windows XP machine--HINT, HINT--are you listening, Matrix?]. Of the three GB games, "Hannibal" was my favorite, and I'd be thrilled if he'd appear in a "Tin Soldiers" incarnation.

Hertston -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (2/19/2006 12:07:46 AM)

I'm very excited by the new game, but I must confess I'm little sad that "Panzer Command" seems to sign the end of 'Tin Soldiers'. The games never seemed to be as popular as they deserved to be and I'd rather hoped than a Civil War or Napoleonic game might have had greater impact and made the series as a whole more popular. TS Napoleon in particular would have looked as stunning as (no doubt) it would have played. [:(]

junk2drive -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (4/16/2006 2:53:24 AM)

ACW gets my vote.

I have SMG, CWBR, and the demo for TC2M. RTS is not for me anymore.

I'm hooked on CM style WEGO 3D.

PBEM is needed too.

Arnir -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (7/30/2006 8:29:54 PM)

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but is there any intention to bring out more of the Tin Soldiers series?  Ending the series is bad bull Ags.

ravinhood -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (7/31/2006 2:24:29 AM)

Can you guys at Koios say or not if there are going to be anymore "Tin Soldiers" series games? Yes or No is fine. I've so enjoyed TS:Caesar looking foward to other minature makes in sort of a pre WWII era. PC:OWS is good work as well. I'm just a tad bit burned out on WWII wargames atd. ;) My preference would also be something in the line of "Spartan" and the greek wars and roman and persian invasions and a remake of the battle at thermopalie (sp) 300 Spartans scenario would be excellent. ;) People think I don't like "any" games, I'm just picky thas all. ;)

GreenDestiny -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (8/8/2006 11:58:32 AM)

We need more Tin Soldiers

No

There does not appear to be much interest from mainstream wargamers in Ancient's games - and since we are a 'full time' game studio that must pay salaries etc... here comes WW2 baby! [8D]

GreenDestiny -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (8/8/2006 7:21:07 PM)

Damn… that's too bad I really like the series.

elcidce -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (8/9/2006 12:52:24 AM)

You dont think there wouldnt be more interest in a US Civil War or Napoleon War Eras? I would think that they would turn a profit.

Oddly, calling us Ags is completely appropriate. I have my BS degree, and koiosworks has his masters at A&M.

Are you an Aggie?

Maybe we should do a one level "Tin Solders: Texas A&M vs Texas University" [:'(]

Yeah, but to make the game realistic, we would have to make sure that University of Texas always wins. [:D]

University of Texas??? What's that??? You must mean Texas University.... or errrr... as i like to call it "little Moscow on the Brazos"

ravinhood -> RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next? (8/12/2006 1:34:32 AM)

I remember one Texas A & M game but forget who they were playing, at any rate at half time the score was 0 to 0 and the other team couldn't field a full team to play the 2nd half. But at any rate A & M kept playing and in the 4th quarter just before the end of the game they finally scored. ;)

Now OT, really hate the see the Tin Soldiers series end. I think you got a rip not getting a RETAIL release of those games. The artwork alone would have sold them to mainstream customers. Shame Matrixgames only retails special selection games for the most part. Yall should look into another more mainstream publisher maybe lie Strategy First or maybe even Stardock. GalCiv 2 sold near the 200,000 copy mark according to Frogboy. I think you're just going to make nickels and dimes with Matrixgames.

I prefer 'The People's Republic of Austin', but it is still University of Texas: utexas.edu. You Ags must have a brain lock.
