coach3play4 -> Changes from Korsun? (5/26/2005 6:30:12 AM)

Is there any summary of game play changes from the Korsun model? I played Korsun for some time, but din't buy Normandy. I find, with Italy, I'm remembering Korsun slowly, but it would be easier if I new what was new! Any source of game play changes? Like the inderdiction is different.
Thanks

New features for Merging Units

Can we get some information on this, there is nothing in the manual on it. There is a very brief blurb in lesson six but that's it and it doesn't even cover merging just one evolving unit.

Regards

Did you see the update on your Run5 thread? Don't think there's much more to add.

Yes I did, but there are people here who may not have.

In my eyes, the main change from Korsun Pocket is the information hot keys.

Previously the information had to be obtained by checking the counters individually. But the hot keys allow you to obtain that information at a glance.

And, if you are after a particular type of unit, such as an engineer, or a 2-shift arty unit, there is a nifty little feature, that allows you to find them very quickly.

The hot keys and the short-cuts are the outstanding features that help to make BIN, and now BII, great wargames!

How?

Also does anyone know what CTRL A's hotkey is displaying information wise? All the counters get a number superimposed on them and I saw somehighlighting in different colors happen.

Dude, who told you to press CTRL+A? [:D]

I had to go try this out since I've never heard of it doing anything; it looks like what it is showing is the AI group that each unit belongs to. You can load up a scenario and note some numbers, then load it up but go into the editor instead of playing and under Units, check out the AI group...
