pad152 -> RE: Q about the AI (6/5/2005 10:54:42 PM)

I've played against the AI from the begining both as Allied and Japan. 1. AI as Japan does a good job for the first six months of the war. 2. AI as Allied, the AI throws way it's forces away too early in war. 3. I'm now playing a game now against the AI Japan with a edited campaign, I gave Japan more ships, airgroups, and more/better pilots. It's 4/5/42 and so far nothing the allies have can stand up to the Japanese, I'm about even with Japan on ship loses, but the air and ground war is going Japan's way. Like many others here I've played the game so much against the AI it has become predictiable, just like playing against the same person. The AI is as good if not better than most games considering the scope and scale of the game. Then there is always the editor, you can't edit the AI, but you change just about anything else![;)] Because the game tries to be historical, everybody already knows the weakness of Japan (pilots, oil) and it's easy to exploit these. Bottom Line: There is no other game like this on the market.
