Jedi, it's ok to play 8.3 against 8.4 , I haven't found any incompatibilities yet.

Hello.
The key thing to watch out for in the replays is to make certain that your tanks and halftracks are dying as armor units not infantry.

Korpraali V -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/4/2005 4:22:47 AM)

Recieved last post from MrSAS on 21st of August...
Think he's not there anymore for some reason. We had played just couple of turns so I think it can't be count.

steelpanther -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/5/2005 2:28:56 AM)

So Red can we have an update on the games in progress and whos in i.e. I am 0-1, you are 0-1, etc. Listing all the active players. Thanks so much
Ken

Korpraali V -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/8/2005 6:26:22 AM)

Want to continue. Who am I up to?

MindSpy: Did you ment me?

VikingNo2 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/9/2005 3:11:07 AM)

Ironfist and myself have concluded our game. I came out on top. Strange game where he overran my northen forces and has tanks at the back of my side of the map but lost larger amounts of armor in doing so, I am ready for the next opponent

Ironfist738 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/9/2005 9:03:31 AM)

I aggree with Viking II, Game over. Points-per turn V-hexs and Massive armor losses will give Him the victory. I have surrendered.

PS: by the way Viking II. That soldat surrendering in my post. That's me... Nordland uniform and all at 2002 Event at Fort St Clair Eaton ,Ohio USA. Good Luck with the WC 05. Battle On !!! [sm=00000036.gif][sm=00000106.gif]

VikingNo2 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/9/2005 3:34:12 PM)

Cool picture, I bet you had youself booby trapped though [:)]

I don't think this game was points per turn however, our first one was. Your infantry was very deadly

Ironfist738 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/13/2005 6:27:19 AM)

Your right , I looked at V-hexs last night. It is not points per turn....

steelpanther -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/24/2005 12:55:41 AM)

Second game concluded. Jedi reigns victorious. 0-2 for me. Who wants to kick my a-- next. LOL

Swamprat -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/25/2005 11:37:24 PM)

This looks like a complicated melee. May I join in? Is it too late?

Got both 8.3 and 8.4 side by side. Slots 1,2,6,7,8 are free.

JediMessiah -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (9/26/2005 5:52:41 PM)

MindSpy -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (11/14/2005 11:58:00 PM)

Hello.

Was away for quite awhile.

Freejack beat me in our game for the WC 2005.
Hence I have bowed out.

He's probably quite eager to stat up another game leading to a victory lap around the Ardennes forest!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooopsssssss!

I meant Willy not Freejack!
Willy was victorious in our first round matchup.

My mistake; it's been awhile.

Korpraali V -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (11/24/2005 6:12:15 AM)

My first game was canceled when my opponent disappeared. Don't know what to do about the tournament. Haven't seen anybody around here for awhile.

patriot100 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (12/29/2005 2:32:11 AM)

Sorry to see that this tournament seems to have stalled. I started a Steel Panthers tournament page at
http://sptournament.blogspot.com. If anyone wants to continue on from there, and start a new tournament, you are all welcome to try it from there.

Tyrson -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (12/29/2005 3:25:46 AM)

THis could work better if we used TeamSpeak, or any of the VOI to comm.
T out

patriot100 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (12/29/2005 3:57:06 AM)

Not a bad idea. It sometimes gets confusing following the results and the flow of the tournament here. I am planning to set up brackets that everyone will be able to view, so that it will be clear who will play who next. The VOIP idea is not bad. As long as people find some way to communicate and keep in touch, a world cup or tournament would work. I played in the world cup here a couple of years ago, and thought it was a lot of fun. I did not have time to play in this year's tournament. Hopefully it will continue. In the meantime, I am moving ahead with a new SPWaW tournament for 2006.

http://sptournament.blogspot.com

Tyrson -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (12/29/2005 9:45:37 AM)

I'm not sure if people know this or not but you can load designed maps for ip games, what this does is allow various battle fields to be made up ie. a desert, jungle etc. thus everyone is playing on the same turf.
As far as tracking games we could use an unused steel panthers ladder for that. As for VOI with the TeamSpeak free servers anyone can make a channel, that way we can a constant channel , whoever gets on first makes the channel.

This method would work better for ip games which are quite easy to set up using VOI as its live comm.

patriot100 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (12/31/2005 8:50:01 PM)

I guess you could play a number of turns this way. I think with many people's schedules, it is always hard to play a lot of head to head battles, due to the long time it takes to complete. PBEM allows a little of a slice of time to complete. It would speed some battles up for those who have the time to use the Team Speak system. I have heard of the use of VOIP for games. I am not familiar with the TeamSpeak system ,but I will take a look at it. I am still welcoming anyone to the 2006 SPWaW tournament at http://sptournament.blogspot.com/. So far, I have one person signed up. That is good considering I just opened registration. Anyone can register up until the last day of January. Send an email to steveblog@fuse.net to sign up.

Ironfist738 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (2/25/2006 3:13:10 AM)

Anyone have any ideal who Finally Won WC 2005 ????[sm=00000945.gif]

patriot100 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (2/26/2006 2:10:41 AM)

I think the tournament died. I tried to start an alternate one at http://sptournament.blogspot.com/

but I have only had one signup. After March 1st, I plan on shutting down my tournament if no one is interested. I will move on to bigger and better things I guess. It is a shame to see the demise of the World Cup. I guess the tournament interest is waning.

VikingNo2 -> RE: WC 2005 Blitz Edition (2/26/2006 6:05:58 PM)

we never finished
