Darksky -> Only supply automatically move in the ground ? (6/29/2005 2:19:46 PM)

I read in the manual about formula to calculate how much supply "travel" the ground thanks to rail, road, path, etc.
If i need a lot of supply in an aerea, usually i need to move a big HQ there.

Only supply works in this manner ?

Are oil, resources and fuel automatically spreaded by the ground supply net ?

Yes, oil and ressources are moved to your HI automatically.

Do you mean HI in the same ISLE or CONTINENT ?

And Fuel ? From what i see in game it seems to be "static", isn't it ?

Oil, resources, and supply move by rail. Oil and resources (not supply) can "jump" across a single intervening all-sea hexside in between two adjacent level-3 ports. Fuel stays where it is until you load it up and move it yourself.

Oil will move through a maximum of 45 hexes of Rail. As long as the two points (source & industry) are connected, it will get pulled once every three turns.

I don't know why people think that fuel doesn't move around. It does. Just open scn 15 as the Japanese, note where your fuel in the Home Islands is, then advance to turn 2. Voila, it is in many different places than it was on turn 1. Some places are sucked dry, others show up with tons of the stuff. This also happened to me in the Philippines. I captured Naga and the next turn all of the sudden I had fuel in Legaspi. It must have come from Naga. Don't ask me how or why, but fuel does move. Not that you could get it to move where *you* want it to go. [8|]
