Some bad news from the manual :
7.2 "Adverse weather in a province temporarily lowers produc- tion in the province.Ice,snow, heavy snow, flood, and storm all halve the production of the following resources:Money, Food,Labor,Horses,Spice, and Wine."

actully.. i was able to get my econ to about 150 gold a month and a 800,000 man army.. you just ahve to make a bunch of luzuries in a few provinces and alot of textiles and you'll be fine.. the onyl problem is you start to produce more tooprs than you ahve banners for so it gets difficult the 2nd to thrid year... and you ahve to be at almost constant war in order to keep you people from growing too much... but really i'd focus on a collition with prussa asutria and sweden so you can cut up poland and then take on turkey.... really it just depends on how you play.. the quick lightning stike or the methodical war ellimating units and slowly advancing on the captital... it's cheaper and gives you armies experinece... and make sure you get polands cpaital quick and form a protorate to get their diplomats.. oh yeah don't let the comp take control of anything.
