IKerensky -> SPWAW Without virtual memory ? (11/26/2001 6:25:00 AM)

Is it anyway to run SPWAW without using virtual memory ? I disabled mine cuase it onl slow me with my 780mo but SPWAW refuse to work without at last 5mo of v.m.
Tell me there is a way to change command line so I dont have to put v.m. back just for this game

Bump for a n answer , even if 'No answer' is the answer.

There is no command line switch I know of. I have not had time to investigate the VM requirement. I was not aware of one. I will try to find out this weekend.

I had my system configured with 512MB RAM and a 128 MB swap file. I kept getting virtual memory errors. I set my swap file to "Windows Managed" and haven't had any problems since. Something inside the game forces the use of the swap file.

Using ANY MS product without a swapfile (VM) is not wise. This goes for the OS you are using. Just another way to know MS loves you...
