I was able to try the wonderful beta version of CWiF develpoed by Chris Marinacci. Now I am waiting for the release of the official game.....in my opinion invain!!!
Anybody could inform me about the release date of this too much expected game........or where I can get a downloadable beta version of this incredible game??

Thank you very much.

Ah, I believe I am now the person you are waiting for. I am reworking the source code for CWIF which was used to create the Beta. There is a lot of code and it will take me some more time to come up to speed. To paraphrase a Dylan song lyric "Chris has forgotten more than I'll ever know about CWIF".

What I am currently focused on is getting a tight definition of the design specifications. To that end, there are several new threads in this forum trying to reach a consensus and identify potential problems with the map, units, scenarios, and play over the Internet. I will open some more threads on other topics this month. If you want to add your opinion or observations, I would be appreciative.

As to a copy of the Beta, it will be at minimum a couple of months before any of the changes I am making will be presentable to even the most kind hearted of play testers.

It's good to hear of some progress. I've been waiting since 1996 for this sucker and the lack of action was starting to get me down. Good luck!

Cheers
Neilster
