16/11/43 How swiftly the time flies by, soon the year will be ending. Another day anchored at this langoon -more picket boats. A terrible day as assistant officer off the deck - stiff uniforms, endless saluting at the gangway, a small band to manage even today Defaulters, rounds, inspections. A fire scare - some fool welding in the hanger - my blood froze when the alarm went off Fortunately it was quickly extinguished. The news is thin today -the allies attack near homan -our army there apears doomed. EDITORS NOTE OK, the war has been a bit boring to report from hamamato's perspective, so what is really happening? In Burma -wobbly flattened the airforce at Rangoon -for over a week now I have been trying to get supplies into rangoon -they just arrived, and all the tony squadrons are rebuilding rapidly to full strength. Once built its going to be dispersal time Troops are flowing to burma in strength. In the DEI its been build, and garrison -a fair distribution of air assetts are about Most of the BBs are at Davao Solomons We bomb daily his trapped troopsm, but most planes remain out of 4E range, I do not want a surprise. Not really enough assetts here The Gilberts are garrisoned -but not heavily KB is at Kwalejien -awaiting a wobbly move China Is a mess South, I am retiring from the effort of "the big pocket", it almost came off Lots of these troops will have to go north -a army is trapped east of homan -its still in fair nick thanks to all the transports flying in supplies. Lots of air committed here. If wobbly attacks elsewhere on the map Im afraid the chinese army is lost, all the air will have to go south. Wobbly might have cottoned on by now -my offensives are finished -Im awaiting another, bigger version of our current UV game (check out the AAR), where he is slowly grinding away, at terrible cost. I reckon I can do the same here as well. In the meantime, Im hoping he tries a raid somewhere, and blunders into LT Hanamato somewhere. LT Hanamato does not know it, but due to some sort of bug, i have a fragment of his A-11 unit at Siapan island -and it has 42 very experienced pilotsfor 17 A/C , on top of his unit on the kaga -27 planes -36 pilots! So A-11 is going to Siapan shortly, a large air unit into reserve. After that it might be time to go chase some action -probably in Burma again -I need some longer range fighters there.
