I am trying to start an e-mail game with a friend. We have started games before without problems.

I follow the PBEM instructions to the letter, setting Combat Reports on and Combat animations on. Once we have both entered passwords, when the action for the historic turn runs there are no combat animations and worse, no combat reports.

Any ideas? [&o]

If it's 1.60 and you are playing the Allies I think that the problem might be that the other side hasn't set them to on. See this thread: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=884984

Did you follow the directions? I think it said the Jap player turns them off for a turn and then turns them back on to get the sync thing taken care of.
