Don Bowen -> CHS Release 1.02 (7/17/2005 7:42:31 PM)

The change list for CHS version 1.02 is complete. We have not addressed some recently raised points as the update has already been considerably delayed. We would like to get the ANZAC HQ and 393rd NBS changes out there.

The list is below. Actually making and verifying the changes will take a day or perhaps two. I would appreciate comments and corrections for items on this list or for major items that may have been excluded.

Is this so the AI can finally produce all planes in the CHS scenario???

Only if resolved in the next couple of hours. We can easily “just one more fix” this update into next year!

Don Bowen -> Last call for CHS Release 1.02 (7/18/2005 8:27:54 PM)

A CHS player has just brought another data problem to our attention - just in time to get included in the CHS 1.02 release (thank you Kereguelen!).

Please note that it is our intention to make 1.02 the last release of CHS for some time. If you have found an error in CHS please let me know immediately (or preferably sooner).

Don

sacorsair -> RE: Last call for CHS Release 1.02 (7/18/2005 11:24:16 PM)

Is Spookys site still having download problems and if so is there any other way to possibly get the patch e-mailed from someone who can download it?

Terminus -> RE: Last call for CHS Release 1.02 (7/18/2005 11:31:42 PM)

Spooky's is still sick. I tried it earlier...

Banquet -> RE: Last call for CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 1:40:47 AM)

Any rough estimates of when 1.02 will be available for download? I'm tempted to try CHS since the AI appears to be not only working, but some people are saying it's an improvement! [:)]

I tried the 1st couple turns of 1.01 and it certainly seems vastly different! (in a good way ) but I don't want to get too into it if 1.02 is coming and will require a restart.

timtom -> RE: Last call for CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 1:46:08 AM)

CHS PBY replacement rate = 90/month = 5,062 by 15/08/45.

EUBanana -> RE: Last call for CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 3:52:29 PM)

Excellent, sling up a fresh post when its up.

I got games to play with sacorsair. [:D]

treespider -> RE: Last call for CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 3:58:59 PM)

Likewise Mr. Burns and myself have been patiently waiting...

gunner333 -> RE: CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 5:55:45 PM)

Does I need to apply OOB changes for CHS. I am talking about "update OOB" feature that was introduced in the vanila 1.60.

Thank you.

Sorry, that feature one works for the official patches - not for CHS.

John III -> RE: CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 6:59:23 PM)

Do we have a REAL idea as to when this version will be released? I'm itching to try CHS...

It went to Spooky about 2 minutes ago. It will take him a little while to get things put up on his site.

Terminus -> RE: CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 8:20:49 PM)

Maybe it's just Subchaser's map mod that's the problem. I've tried downloading the hexless version a few times now, and it always terminates the download at 17 out of 25 Mb.[&:]

Spooky -> RE: CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 9:02:31 PM)

Hi

I got a message today from my ISP tech support. They know that they have some troubles with the server hosting the site ... so we can only hope that they will solve them quickly.

However, I advise you to use a download utility (ie : GetRight ...) when you download a big file.

About CHS v1.02, some of the files are now available in the CHS section of the website (just look for CHS Mod in the left part of the home page) but the planetop file is still missing ...

Got it.

Thank you Spooky and CHS people [:)]

Jim D Burns -> RE: CHS Release 1.02 (7/19/2005 9:23:45 PM)

Ugh! No adjustment to the allied low levels of starting supplies means by 1943 our games could well be borked. I did a lot of work showing how supplies had been tweaked too low now for use for the entire game at these levels.

Any chance some supply bases could be added to arrive in late 42 early 43 just to be sure there is enough for the end game? I'd hate to invest a year of play and have to stop if it could have been prevented with a minor delay now. Over doing it by 1943 won't be a problem since max base storage is 1 million and the allies had plenty of supplies available in the states by then. Shipping it out was the only real limitting factor for the allies by 1943.

Jim

Is the Planetop file necessary if you had v1.01 or v1?

The previous planetops will work fine - the new one contains improvements but no new aircraft.
