ORIGINAL: genchoo Question What happens when you place a allied sub in Japanese hex, and vice - versa. Will the sub attack shipping in the hex ? or does it just sit there and burn fuel all day long. And if any advantages to having a sub in the hex Main "advantage" is that it probably makes the other player "mad" which might make him do something dumb ... main disadvantage is your odds of getting sunk go up quite a bit ... especially if you hang around more than one turn. And one further comment, if you want to lay mines there ( which the Allies often do ) then you have to go there ... and you might be able to play "rock, paper, siccors" if he has minesweepers - you can hang around and try to torpedo the minesweepers ... whereas his ASW vessels, might trip over the mines ! But be prepared to lose the boat, if you hang around.
