I'm a WITP newbie running v. 1.6 on XP Pro 5.1. As I learn the game, there are times when I would like to go check my email or run some other task while keeping WITP going, but I can't seem to find a way to do that. Hitting ESC ends the game. The function keys don't do it. I'd be happy if I could simply minimize WITP for a moment and access the rest of my programs.
Any help appreciated.

Hit Alt-Tab, use whatever programs you want, then Alt-Tab again to go back to WitP. You'll most likely see some corrupted graphics, but that doesn't mean the game has crashed, just hit a few buttons and move the mouse around, and it should be okay.
