Be very careful about your CAP % levels, as a high % level will fatigue out your planes and lower morale. For my own preference. I send a carrier TF out to sea with CAP levels at about %30 when I don't think the enemy is about. As I close to an area I raise my CAP levels to say %50 and then to 60%-70% depending on what kind of fight I am expecting. It all really depends on the opposition you expect to fight. However, if you run your CAP levels for a few turns at higher levels, you will run up your fatique level to the point where you will get creamed in combat. UV penalizes you much more that WITP for this. If, I have a fight within a turn or two of moving my CAP up, I try to pull out and rest my fighters before looking for trouble. Same hold true for CAP over land bases. 40% is about max you want to fly for regular CAP. Any higher and you will wear down your unit. Crank it up when you expect big trouble but move it back down when flying normal operations. Squadrons flying escort and CAP at the same time will also wear down very fast. Try to rotate them.
