ORIGINAL: Korpraali V I played PBEM Italy vs. Anzac and it was a draw. Summer 42 in North Africa, small map, little over 1000 points. Main reason for draw was that I had four 88's (yes, Italians have few of them!) that took out few Matildas and were able to slow the others. Tanks were useless against Matildas but against AC's they were ok. And 13,2mm HMG's...mmm.... Italy is not all bad [:-] [;)] [8D] Heh. I know Italy isn't all bad--otherwise I wouldn't play them. [;)] That being said, try playing Italians without 88s or 90s against Matildas. Even Brit cruiser tanks pose a problem. You're right, though, Italian tanks can mop up against British ACs--if they can keep up. And yes, the 13.2mgs were very nice. I've found them to be one of the most effective Italian infantry weapons out there. They just decimate opposing infantry and can really suppress enemy armor if used correctly.
