DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/2/2005 3:35:03 PM)

I have to work 14 hours today so I won't be simming till Monday morning.

Frozen Stiffer -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/2/2005 9:06:49 PM)

Oh... yeah... sure... like WHEN you sim will make any difference to Washington!

BAH! [:@]

Whitey Herzog can [expletive] my [expletive] on an [expletive] day!

[:D]

Much better now. That treatment is working.

2 weeks to go. Giants clinched. Emerald Division is up for grabs. Akron's magic number down to 5. Brooklyn still in contention in the Diamond Division.

It pretty much always was like that for Washington.

Fortunately for me, I play the game because it's fun... not because I can win. Seem pathetic? Perhaps. However, pessimism almost always ensures good results! Expect the worst and get it; mission accomplished. Expect the worst and get the best, good for you!

Okay, that's poor rationalization. When it comes to me and winning, I think I'm just allergic to the stuff. Portland didn't do any better in Shaun's puresim MP test league.

Absolutely something you learn in Cleveland.

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/5/2005 6:14:00 AM)

I have just logged in as comissioner and downloaded all roster moves and lineup changes that were on the server as of 11pm EST 10/4/05. I'm now installing the Gold Edition upgrade so any future roster moves will need to be done with the Gold Edition.

P.S. I will suspend simming tomorrow and not sim till Friday, in case there are any upgrade issues.

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/5/2005 6:21:13 AM)

Possibly there will be no problems as when I loaded the association, I didn't get the usual "Upgrading Association" message. Roster moves from the older version may be compatable I suspect.

Maybe the Cavs will do it this year. [:D][;)][:@][:D][;)][:@]

Got the Matrix 1.0 edition. I copied the files from my PS Gold Edition PSA folder into the new Matrix Games edition PSA folder without any problems.

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/6/2005 4:36:11 PM)

Absent any objections, we will resume simming tomorrow, 10/07/05.

Frozen Stiffer -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/6/2005 9:48:54 PM)

I confess that I have not yet upgraded. Dandric, when is your deadline for managers to do so?

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/6/2005 11:11:10 PM)

I haven't set one yet. Let's say no simming till Sunday, so Sunday noon will be the deadline.

Frozen Stiffer -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/6/2005 11:43:51 PM)

Good deal Dandric, thanks!

Let me ask you something though, what does a person need to host/run a multiplayer league? Aside from the obvious (players, a computer, an internet connection, electricity in the home).

[:D]

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/9/2005 3:11:04 PM)

Chris Johnson;

Since I downloaded a Milwaukee update this AM I assume you got the file ok and everything is working?

All;

I will sim today at noon and upload the new file shortly after.

ChrisJohnson -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/9/2005 4:35:19 PM)

Yup, everything worked fine. Thanks.

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/9/2005 8:11:24 PM)

With one week left:

Brooklyn at Milwaukee for the final 3 games of the season.

donkuchi19 -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/10/2005 5:18:07 AM)

Looking at the set of 74 - 63 standings, I wonder: Do you sim 1 day at a time and then just post after the week? Just wondering.

Maybe I should rest my starters to set up for the post-season rotation. [;)][:)]

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/10/2005 6:57:54 AM)

I usually sim the whole week at a time, once I did sim each day separately. This time I was simming the week, saw the 4-way tie and quickly hit <Alt><PrtScrn> I thought at first I was too late to capture the screen, but it was on the clipboard.

spartacus007 -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/10/2005 8:31:51 PM)

Ooooh, it's down to the wire... I'd actually given up on Cincinnati and was looking to bench some older players so they wouldn't get hurt for next season. The next series is against St. Louis.

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/12/2005 12:11:45 AM)

Dallas took a nosedive and now anybody can still win it. The last week of the season will be simmed tomorrow evening.

donkuchi19 -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/12/2005 6:49:28 AM)

I hadn't really been paying that much attention to Dallas but I just checked. What a fade at the end. They finished the last two weeks of August at 3-9 and are 2-12 in September so far. WOW. 5-21 down the stretch. That's gotta hurt. Good luck all during the last week.

In that same time Cincinatti has gone 15-9, Chicago Cubs 18-8, and St. Louis Cardinals 12-12 catching up 11, 13, and 8 games respectively. It is like watching the AL and NL wild card races down the stretch.

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/13/2005 12:28:43 AM)

Last week of the regular season will be simmed at 9pm tonight, eastern time.

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/13/2005 4:35:51 AM)

Playoff time.

donkuchi19 -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/13/2005 4:36:12 AM)

Is there a way to go with a three man rotation in the playoffs? Just wondering????

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/13/2005 4:39:18 AM)

First week of the playoffs (covers first three games) will be simmed Friday, 11pm.

donkuchi19 -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/14/2005 12:28:05 AM)

That will work for me. If I want to rearrange my starters after 3 games, I can do it then.

Thanks

donkuchi19 -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/14/2005 8:27:16 AM)

<======== Note the new logo [:)]

I hope to be changing it again soon.

Good luck to all in the playoffs.

ChrisJohnson -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/14/2005 11:22:33 PM)

I must be missing something, but how/when do contract negotiations take place? I can't keep all of my text games straight [:)].

DandricSturm -> RE: American Baseball Federation (A PureSim Multiplayer League) (10/15/2005 12:08:31 AM)

After the playoffs there will be a time when you can resign players.
