Are pilots with kills removed from the list if they become a casualty? I had several pilots with 3 kills. Now only two show up. [:(]

Terminus -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 8:46:12 PM)

They should show as KIA/WIA/MIA.

Fornadan -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 8:53:08 PM)

Can you have friendly fire with ground attacks?

Been reading a book about Burma and that seems to have happened quite often

Terminus -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 9:04:08 PM)

Haven't seen it...

"They should show as KIA/WIA/MIA."

That is what I expected, like in UV, but they don't.

Terminus -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 9:07:49 PM)

Can you post a screenshot?

This was obviously meant to be in the blue on blue thread[:o]

It's supposed to look like this:

barnacle bob -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 9:31:09 PM)

Nope. I don't recall seeing any KIA/MIA/WIA in any of my WITP pbem games. I'm patched to 1.60.

Terminus -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 9:33:16 PM)

Well then, logically, they should all still be there. Otherwise, nothing makes any sense anymore! [;)] Seriously, if you say there's only two where there should be three, then I have no explanation.

barnacle bob -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 9:40:15 PM)

I know the AVG had three pilots with 3 kills. I had one or two more from other squadrons. They were all based at Singapore. They were lost one day in a large dog fight with some CV Zeros.

ilovestrategy -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 9:48:07 PM)

Is it possible WiTP could have it's own version of the Bermuda Triangle? Nahhhh [:'(]

Terminus -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 9:54:05 PM)

Well, sometimes you get ships that sink for "unknown" reasons. OoooOoooOoooOoooOooohhh!!!

barnacle bob -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 10:09:17 PM)

I just checked the AI none of it's pilots that have kills show up as MIA/KIA/WIA. But they may be to good to get shot down.

I'll check my next pbem game to see if I have a problem.

kkoovvoo -> RE: Aces (8/21/2005 10:14:33 PM)

Hi,

pilots with 5 or more kills (=aces) remain on list with fate wia/mia/kia

Pilots with 4 or less kills are removed from top pilots list.

And now you know...

WiTP should have it's own little history channel show announcing these ships that sink for "unknown" reason [:D]

Terminus -> RE: Aces (8/22/2005 1:07:44 AM)

Actually, most of the "unknowns" are ships scuttled in captured harbours.

barnacle bob -> RE: Aces (8/22/2005 1:57:28 AM)

Thanks! I suspected as much. If this is in the rule can you direct me to the page? My search did not turn up anything (or I just didn't see it).

barnacle bob -> RE: Aces (8/22/2005 1:58:18 AM)

Thanks for your help.

afspret -> RE: Aces (8/22/2005 7:10:07 AM)

I haven't seen KIA/WIA/MIA listing for pilots (like in UV) since I started playing the game 10 months ago.

Doesn't actually say so anywhere in the manual. It was found out through experience.
