plasticpanzers -> Divisional commanders? (8/27/2005 12:15:00 PM)

Was wondering how about divisional commanders for units in the game. They could be no-name generic created as each division is created but have some characteristics from their parent nations. Corps commanders could be assigned over them and to a divison or would opperate seperate (move at light cavalry speed) and have a zone of control depending on their quality. Divisional ldrs could have characteristics like ELAN, the ability to inspire (or not!) and CONTROL, the ability to keep their unit cohesive longer (or not). France and Spain would usually have higher ELAN values (Spain would be variable on a turn by turn basis) and a somewhat lower CONTROL level. Sweden and England would have more stable ELAN level and Control level. Russia, Autstia, and Prussia a lower ELAN level but higher CONTROL level due to their training. Seperate Corps and Army officers could not be killed or captured unless they were attached to a unit. If they operate loose they effect units around them to a lesser degree but to a wider area which would have players operate their corps more like corps. Tim oh yeah, milita commanders would have low ELAN and CONTROL but most landwhehr (a different type of troops) would have high ELAN but low CONTROL.
